Bailey's Fine Jewelry Opens Store Location in Raleigh's Crabtree Valley Mall

RALEIGH, NC (Oct. 5, 2010) – Bailey’s Fine Jewelry added a fifth store to its jewelry business today with the opening of its newest location at Crabtree Valley Mall. The Crabtree store is the second new Bailey’s Fine Jewelry store to open in North Carolina this year, preceded by the new location in Fayetteville at Cross Creek Mall in August.

Bailey’s Fine Jewelry is a world-respected jeweler with more than 60 years of experience in the industry. The new store is the second Bailey’s addition to Crabtree Valley Mall; the first was the PANDORA store, which launched in October 2009. By adding a Bailey’s Fine Jewelry to Crabtree, the Bailey family hopes to make Bailey’s more accessible and to continue to provide a full jewelry and giftware service for its patrons.

“We have so many loyal Raleigh patrons, and we’re excited to give them another option by bringing the Bailey’s Fine Jewelry experience to such a well-known retail location in Raleigh,” said Trey Bailey, director of operations for Bailey’s Fine Jewelry.

The Crabtree store is managed by Tom Staton, a staff member at the Bailey’s store in Cameron Village with over 27 years of experience in the jewelry business. The new store features many of the same jewelry offerings and in-house personalized services as the existing Bailey’s Fine Jewelry stores located in Raleigh, Rocky Mount, Greenville and Fayetteville. These services include custom design, gold, silver and platinum buying, watch and jewelry repair, and appraisals. Bailey’s will also offer free gift-wrapping with purchase in the signature ‘Bailey Box.’

The Crabtree location will also implement the Bailey family philanthropy program, A Time to Give. Introduced in 2008, A Time to Give is a watch battery replacement program that absorbs the cost of new watch batteries for patrons in exchange for charity donations. Every month, each of the five Bailey’s stores selects a local charity to which all donations are directed. Since its inception, A Time to Give has raised more than $75,000 to be given back to the communities that the Bailey’s stores serve.

Virginia Fan is $10,000 Winner in Game Celebrating Hardee's 50th Birthday

RICHMOND, VA. (Nov. 8, 2010) – A Midlothian woman who says she’s never been particularly lucky with contests proved herself wrong by being a $10,000 winner of a social media contest celebrating Hardee’s® 50th birthday.

Sandra Elliott of Midlothian spun The Wheel of AwesomeTM on the Hardee’s Facebook page and was one of five winners of $10,000, one for each of the decades that Hardee’s has been in business.

“My mother use to say I was lucky, but I’ve never won anything involving money,” said Elliott, who is an administrative assistant at a state golf association.

Elliott is being presented the check today at the Hardee’s at Harbour Pointe location she regularly visits at 13736 Hull Street Road in Midlothian. The check will be presented by Hardee’s largest franchise operator, Boddie-Noell Enterprises, owner of most of the Hardee’s Virginia locations.

Restaurant entrepreneur Wilber Hardee opened the first Hardee’s on September 3, 1960 in Greenville, N.C. To celebrate the milestone birthday, Hardee’s rewarded its fans during the month of September with restaurant promotions and contests on its social media channels, including daily $50 giveaways on Twitter and five $10,000 prizes totaling $50,000 through The Wheel of Awesome application on the chain’s Facebook page. Fans of Hardee’s on Facebook could spin The Wheel of Awesome which was loaded with prizes from electronics and sports equipments to food coupons and more. A challenge to submit a virtual birthday card earned players additional spins on the Wheel of Awesome. After uploading a card and giving the wheel a spin, Elliott won one of the coveted $10,000 prizes.

Elliott says she and husband Brian plan to use the grand prize winnings to pay some bills, to make some yard improvements and to provide some of the winnings to their church.
